Dr. Andrea Chiavarini grew up in East Tennessee. She moved to Portland, Oregon, at age 20 and attended Portland State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature and completed her premedical classes. She then attended OHSU for her medical degree, followed by residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She practiced general Obstetrics and Gynecology for nine years. She has recently transitioned her career to practice Gynecology and Addiction Medicine. She enjoys working with patients in all stages of life, including pediatric patients. Her areas of particular interest include vulvovaginal diseases, challenging contraception cases, and opioid use disorders in pregnancy. She values working with her patients to help them develop a treatment plan that works for them. Education is extremely important to her, and she strives to ensure that her patients understand their health issues as well as their treatment options thoroughly prior to making decisions.
Dr. Chiavarini has two children and spends most of her free time doing “mom stuff.” She also enjoys live music, reading history, and is trying to learn to play the mandolin.
